The Mercy Festival of Trees, now in its 26th year, is the community event that signals the beginning of the holiday season in the Tri-state area. Sponsored by the Dubuque Mercy Health Foundation and this year held at the Hotel Julien Dubuque in downtown Dubuque, this annual event raises funds to improve healthcare programs and services provided through Mercy Medical Center. This year, all proceeds will be allocated to the building of a new Intensive Care Unit at Mercy adjacent to the cardiology center, which was completed in 2005.
